Eventyr text messaging

Text messaging consent

How customers choose to receive tickets and important updates about a particular event.

Consent rule

How consent works

Consent is optional and event-specific.

Providing a phone number alone is not consent. Customers can decline texts and still complete their purchase or receive help through another available channel.

Program scope

What we send

Messages are informational and connected to a particular order and event. Consent for one event does not authorize messages about any other event. Eventyr does not use this consent for marketing, promotions, fundraising, or general announcements. Messaging ends after the event and related order service are complete.

  • Order confirmations and payment receipts
  • Ticket delivery and access information
  • Event reminders and day-of details
  • Cancellations, reschedules, and venue changes

01

Online checkout

The customer opts in for this event.

During web checkout, the customer enters a mobile number and sees the event-specific disclosure beside an unchecked consent box.

The checkbox is optional and never selected in advance. Checkout continues normally when the customer leaves it unchecked.

Example

This public example demonstrates the consent experience. It does not submit information.

02

Box office or phone order

Staff ask one question, then record the answer.

During a phone or box-office sale, the operator asks the short question shown here. A clear yes authorizes ticket delivery and essential updates only for the event being purchased.

Eventyr records the mobile number, event, originating order, date and time, and operator so the consent can be verified.

Verbal consent question

What the operator asks

Would you like to receive your tickets and important event updates by text from Eventyr?

Silence, an unclear response, or merely providing a phone number is not consent. If the customer says no, staff leave the attestation unchecked and complete the sale without text delivery.

Managing messages

Stop anytime. Start again only when you choose.
